We process personal data in line with India&#8217;s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. What we collect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Order and contact details:<\/strong> your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Order history:<\/strong> what you bought, when, the amount paid and the order&#8217;s status.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Account details:<\/strong> if you create an account, your login email and a securely hashed password.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Content you upload:<\/strong> photographs, text or logos you supply for a personalised item.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Messages:<\/strong> what you send us by email or through our contact form (your name, email address, order number if given, and message), including claim photographs and unboxing videos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical data:<\/strong> your IP address, browser type, how you reached the Site, and the cookies described in section 6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Payment details:<\/strong> card, UPI and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway, Razorpay. We never see or store them. We receive only confirmation of the payment and a transaction reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Why we use it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To make, deliver and support your order, including handling cancellations, claims and refunds.<\/li>\n<li>To send you order confirmations and updates.<\/li>\n<li>To reply to your questions and complaints.<\/li>\n<li>To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud.<\/li>\n<li>To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or send marketing emails without your consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Photographs and content you upload<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We use content you upload (photographs, text, logos) and the production files we make from it, such as lithophane or 3D print files, only to make, check and deliver your order, to handle claims, to remake or reorder the same item for you, and to improve our own production methods as described below.<\/li>\n<li>If you upload content but do not complete an order, it is automatically deleted after 7 days.<\/li>\n<li>Content you supplied for an order is kept for 90 days after delivery and then deleted.<\/li>\n<li>Production files made from your content are kept for 12 months after delivery and then deleted. We keep them so we can remake or reorder the item for you, and so we can review our own work: what we learn from them (for example print settings, techniques and fixes) becomes part of our standard methods. What we keep from that review is our process knowledge, never your content.<\/li>\n<li>You can ask us to delete any of these sooner (see section 7). If you do, we will no longer be able to remake or reorder that item from them.<\/li>\n<li>We never use your content or production files for anyone else&#8217;s order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Photographs of your finished item (optional)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may photograph some finished items before dispatch, for example for our own records. Any such photographs are kept with your order and are not published unless you give permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we are running a product photography offer, you can choose, at checkout or through an invitation sent with your delivered item, to let us use photographs of the item we make for you on our website and social media. This may show the image or text you supplied. It is entirely optional. In return you receive a single-use store credit for a future order, issued after we have photographed your item and received your permission, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing us: we will stop using the photographs in new posts and remove them from our website. If you withdraw before the credit is issued, no credit is given. If you do not opt in, we do not publish photographs of your item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Who we share it with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We share personal data only as needed to run our business:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Payment gateway (Razorpay)<\/strong> and the banks involved, to process payments and refunds.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Courier and logistics partners<\/strong>, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Service providers<\/strong> who host the Site and send our emails, under obligations to protect your data.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Government authorities, regulators and courts<\/strong>, where required by law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. How long we keep it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.<\/li>\n<li>Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.<\/li>\n<li>Claim evidence is kept until the claim, and any related dispute, is closed. Messages and correspondence are kept as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a record of complaints.<\/li>\n<li>Uploaded content and production files are kept as set out in section 3.<\/li>\n<li>Other data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed for the purposes above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Cookies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use cookies that are needed for the Site to work, such as keeping items in your cart, keeping you signed in and securing checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our store software also sets first-party cookies that record how you reached the Site (for example a search engine, a social media link or a direct visit), the page you first landed on, how many times you have visited and your browser type. If you place an order, this information is saved with it so we can understand which channels bring us customers. It stays with us and is not shared with advertisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the cart and checkout need the essential cookies to work, but blocking the others does not affect your ability to shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;<\/li>\n<li>correct or update inaccurate data;<\/li>\n<li>delete your data, except where we must keep it by law or to resolve an open claim; and<\/li>\n<li>withdraw any consent you have given.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make a request, email <a href=\"mailto:support@automaton.co.in\">support@automaton.co.in<\/a>. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Security<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to order records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a breach occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. Contact and grievances<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For any question or complaint about your personal data, email <a href=\"mailto:support@automaton.co.in\">support@automaton.co.in<\/a>.
